First night out

Yeah I found myself some friends;)

So I thought this was going to be me myself and my macaron box this weekend. But that was not happening AT ALL.

My first weekend got started in Paris without friends…

I did meet a really nice Parisienne this summer who invited me to come to her friends house. But because I didn’t know them yet, it felt like an awkward thing to do.. Especially when she said that I could bring a plus one… Since I didn’t had a plus one. I told her that I would love to drop by, but if she didn’t mind me coming without a plus one, because I didn’t had one yet… (she must have thought “alrighty I invited a loser”).

I started looking at my phone and thought; “well fuck-it… I’m just going to sent a message to EVERYONE I know who’s living in Paris. I even got to the point of almost uploading a Facebook status with: “anyone in Paris who wants to get a drink?” #lonelygirl

This took loserness to a whole new level.

It made me think, I need to do this. THIS IS MY ADVENTURE.

In order to feel more French. I bought myself some wine, the biggest baguette I could find and some French fromage. After I’d finished half of my bottle, the whole baguette and maybe 3 cheeses: I thought, LET’S DO THIS.

I was heading to the 16th arrondissement. A friend told me this area is called Montmartre, which is pretty dangerous for a girl at night. She advised me to take a cab. To get myself even more in the mood I started talking with my driver and asked him for some French slang. So I could use this in Montmartre. He learned me some slang, and he taught me that I wasn’t going to Montmartre at all, but to a very nice area with the most beautiful houses. So my friend probably wasn’t so familiar with Paris yet;)

I had a crazy night with the girls and some of their friends that arrived later. After too many drinks I didn’t understand a word anymore.

We went to a club called Faust. It’s at the Seine. In the summer the party’s are outside. But inside was fun as well. Just make sure you drink enough before clubbing, because the drinks are super expensive.

Looking forward to many more of these Parisian nights out!

keep you posted;)
