Je suis une baguette ツ

I think I’m becoming a Parisienne even faster than I hoped I would…….

I’m going to my university with my own silver red coffee cup filled with homemade coffee, I’m visiting more patisseries than you would think possible, I sometimes end up eating cheese plates with red wine for dinner and GOD, DO I LOVE BAGUETTES!!

So I thought I REALLY have to be careful… I don’t do any sport here because the gym is too expensive. In Amsterdam I used to do yoga and loved running. I could do some yoga at home but Paris took away my sporting discipline I suppose.

I want and need to find a yoga class somewhere, but haven’t found the time yet. For me the easiest sport to do, which was my addiction in Amsterdam for a long time is running. But I don’t feel like doing that AT ALL since I arrived in Paris. It comes down to this decision: Why go running if you can stay inside and eat? 😉

So then you find yourself sitting in patisseries eating éclairs, macarons, choux a la crème, croissants and of course last but not least pain au chocolats… Mmmmm 😉

The only sport I do at the moment is taking the stairs. So I have some sort of sporting activity besides my new favourite sport- eating and drinking.

So I made one other rule after taking the stairs instead of elevators (which my building also doesn’t have;))
The second rule is not eating baguettes during the week…..

But then, after my first week, I found myself changing the agreed days which we call weekends.. The first week my weekend started on Thursday. The second week my weekend began on Wednesday And the week after my weekend ended Sunday evening and- probably you can probably guess this one- YES it started on Monday around lunchtime again…. So that didn’t work out…

The fun thing that I found out though, I still haven’t gained weight, so maybe there’s something about the Parisian diet we don’t understand. 😉

(Or the weight will come, but later when I’m not expecting it ;)) but till then I’ll continue enjoying ALL the French food :p)
