04 May Hotspots in : Le Marais
Le marais is definitely one of my favorite area’s in Paris! I just love this place. You could spent a day here and a evening.
I have several places which I really recommend, for every restaurant in Paris you can better make a reservation before you go there, just to be sure !! I will give you my favourites;
Lunch/diner:
1. La Perle
This is my favorite place, but I prefer to go here for drinks, or to have an aperitif. You can sit outside, Commander une carafe de vin rouge et un plateau de fromages délicieux!! Best way to end your day with a glass of wine and drinks before you go for dinner. But this is also one of my favorite places for after dinner drinks.
78 Rue Vieille du Temple
2. Chez Janou
My new favorite restaurant. It’s the best place to have dinner. This restaurant has the typically French atmosphere with the most delicious French kitchen. From Place des Vosges it’s a 2 minute walk. It looks super cute, this place is very popular at the moment so you definitely need to make a reservation. If you forgot to make a reservation, you could still give it a try. Since you can’t make a reservations to eat outside. So if you’re lucky they still have a table left outside on the terrace (Be on time to have a chance).
2 Rue Roger Verlomme, 75003 Paris
3. Le Voltigeur
This the best place for lunch or cappuccino’s, it’s my favorite place, makes you the most beautiful cappuccinos delicious food and great atmosphere.
45 Rue des Francs Bourgeois
4. Le Marché ‘les enfants rouges’
This is a food market with all kind of different spots with the most delicious food, I really LOVED the burgers and the couscous, and the organic chicken. You can buy a bottle of wine or if your having a hangover DEFINITELY go for the burger with a coca cola. The place to be on saturday and sundays maybe if it’s you can also go here….. But if it’s sunny; go somewhere else!
39 Rue de Bretagne
5. Café Charlot
Super French and super good place! If it’s sunny I would recommend this! Really nice food, and most times you sit perfectly in the sun;) I Love this street it’s close to the market and it has a nice atmosphere. I love it because it’s so French which makes me feel so Parisian. They also serve a GREAT breakfast!
38 Rue de Bretagne
6. La Petite Mangerie
Great brunch place. This place you can only go for a Brunch or in the afternoon tapas. But they don’t serve just something small for if you already had breakfast than you can better pick another place. But it’s REALLY NICE. great people.

5 Rue de Bretagne
7. Blend
This is a place with the best hamburgers. It’s next to the famous and lovely Concept Store ” MERCI”. Always a queue, so better make a reservation( thats the best for most of the places) In the summer you could act really french and just buy a burger here, but for -take away- and then you buy a bottle of wine and eat it in the park. Or make a reservation and eat it inside.
44 Rue d’Argout
8. Café Hugo
This is at the famous; Place des Vosges. It’s a restaurant with the typical French kitchen, best onion soup or croque Madame! Or in the summer you can go to the park; “places des Vosges” to have a picknick!
22 Place des Vosges
9. Chez Marianne
Famous for the Falafel. you definitely should try falafel, because it’s typically for the marais. le marais is always so lively even on a Sunday. This place has great food, all the Lebanese appetizers and OF COURSE falafel !
2 Rue des Hospitalières Saint-Gervais
10. Chez Hannah
Another really good falafel place. It’s always very busy but they’re really fast so if there’s a queue, it’s worth the wait and the queue moves quickly. Take the falafel which they recommend by specialties. Super good. Most of the falafel places are inside but you can take them away in the summer to have a picnic
54 Rue des Rosiers
11. Les etages
Really cute small restaurant. I love the decor, fresh home made tea and nice meals. Better when it’s cooler because it’s inside!
35 Rue Vieille du Temple
12. Les Philosophes
Nice cafe, for coffee but I also love their steak tartare, but always make sure iTS fresh because with that kind of food Thats Really important. This is also Really central so you can have a break from the shopping

2. La Derierre
Really cool atmosphere and decor. To get to the smoking area inside the restaurant you have to go through a closet to get to the smoking area!!! You can also eat outside in their garden in the summer. Definitely make a reservation because it’s really popular. But that’s the case for all the restaurants in pAris.
69, rue des Gravilliers (11e arrondisement)
3. Le 404
Super cool to have dinner, you can only eat inside. It’s like if your in Marekesh. With delicious couscous dishes.
69, rue des Gravilliers (11e arrondisement)3. Mary Celeste
This is for cocktails and tapas or you can also try some oysters…. If that’s the night your looking for;). Very popular place!

4. Le Clown Bar
This is in the same area as the others and it’s the up and coming area! The new Marais. Love this place too, very nice to have a dinner.

114 Rue Amelot (11e arrondissement)
5. Au Passage
Also for tapas, so it’s not typical French food. But really popular and really tasty, a bit expensive do!
1bis Passage Saint-Sébastien (11e arrondisement)
COCKTAIL BARS
1. Candelaria
This looks like a snackbar with Mexican food, the food is really good but maybe if you’re in paris for the weekend it’s not the atmosphere you would look for for dinner. But behind this restaurant there is a cocktail bar ! Which has AMAZING cocktails. I love the ‘moscow mule’ cocktail. If your drunk you can finish with the tacos;)!
52 Rue de Saintonge
2. The moonshiner
Another secret cocktail bar. This you have to go through an Italian restaurant -through they’re fridge!!!- the cocktail bar looks like a nineteen twenties jazz club. Very cool! And now you can end your night with a pizza;)
5 Rue Sedaine (11e arrondisement)
3. Little red door
This another sort of secret bar, it’s sometimes harder to get in, the drinks are more expensive and they wanna keep it more exclusive.
60 Rue Charlot
4. Andy Wahloo
Next to the restaurant la derrière et le 404. Another cocktail bar. Not secret but expensive, but yeahhhh c’est la vie a paris. I had a lovely gin tonic with rosemary. Très spéciale et très cher.
69, rue des Gravilliers (11e arrondisement)
L’éclair de Génie
Another place which I RECOMMEND for some sweets: my favorite éclair you can get at L’éclair de Génie!!
32 Rue Notre Dame des Victoires

Posted at 13:38h, 03 July[…]
